It was May of 1993, I believe, that a certain redhead entered my life.

It was June of..well...a friend never divulges another friend's exact age... when that certain redhead entered the world.

Both are important moments.

See - Miss Dublingirl is having a birthday and I feel that it is my public duty to inform the world of this auspicious occasion.

You know - it's wonderful to have a friend that you've known for so long - so many people measure their friends in weeks or months - but I feel honored and privileged to measure this friendship in years. And technically, this is our second decade of being friends, so that's doubly precious and wonderful.

She's warm and funny and talented and beautiful and loving and charming and brilliant and artistic and every good thing that one can think of. She's an absolutely awesome mother of 4, though three of them are four-legged and furry (the fourth is a miniature version of mom and they both get more beautiful with each passing day). She's also had the extremely good taste in choosing an absolutely wonderful guy to share all the goodness with.

You should go wish her all the happiness in the world right now. She deserves it!
