But there's something in your eyes that says "maybe" well that's never - never say never....

It's not every day that your morning meeting begins with the words "Excuse me, Mr. H---t-w-r, but they've just found a dead body floating in the lake."

And yet - that's just what happened today. A jogger spotted a body floating in Lake Maury at about 9:20 this morning. Poor thing, she was hysterical by the time she got to the museum by all accounts. I can't imagine what she must be going through today.

But neither can I imagine what the poor woman they found went through last night. Based on the interview with her husband this evening on the news, it was the voices that must have told her she was a bad person and that she should kill herself before she hurt someone else.

It was so cold last night. What must she have been thinking - what voice was she listening to to be able to walk, run or fling herself into a lake.

I can only hope that it was quick and relatively painless - and that she found the silence she was looking for. I know that freezing to death is not the worst way to go. Leastwise, that's what I've read.

So anyway, that was how the day started.

The rest of the day was full of tape measures and masking tape and fabric samples and 4th edits and I don't know what all.

The evening was spent with sweet kitties first, and then yummy Thai food and little Erica who must only be three or less who is flying to Thailand tomorrow for two months. We read her stories from her books tonight at the restaurant as her stuffed animals sat perched on our table. She insisted that Eeyore's name was really "Horsie," and was amazed that we knew that Simba was named...well, Simba.

Then we watched the President give the state of the union address and carefully noted who applauded and who didn't. Who stood up and who steadfastly kept their seat.

As usual, I railed against the perceived slights to my pet causes, and Jim was amused at the whole spectacle.

Then we watched an episode of "Bands Reunited" on VH1 and I just felt old and tired. The band tonight was Romeo Void, and at least I can take comfort in knowing that as old as I feel, they're still older.

Anyway, it was an interesting day.
