This entry is going to look a little odd since the picture is so big and I really don't feel like messing with the layout to accommodate it. I've emailed this pic to most folks already, but for those of you who haven't seen it yet, it's a whole bunch of Mariners' Museum and NOAA folks standing on the "spider" over the USS Monitor's turret. This is an outtake from the current Smithsonian article about the turret's recovery and has a lot of familiar faces in it.

Let's see - on the very back row are Mark and Curtiss. Next row is Jerry, Wayne, Tane, David, Rhonda, Justin and John C. Next up is Jeff, Anne Marie, John B, Lyles, Me, Tangela, Barbara, and Michael. In the very front are Jeanne and Missy.

I think we're one person shy of the typical complement inside the turret during battle. Cool, no?
